Coorg (Kodagu) is where a lot of city people go when they’re tired of notifications and concrete. It’s all about estate stays, coffee, and short drives that turn into photo stops every few minutes.

Where to stay

Pick a homestay or small resort slightly away from the main town. Look for places on coffee estates or with valley views.

What to do

  • Visit one viewpoint at sunrise or sunset.
  • Do a short plantation walk or guided tour.
  • Spend one afternoon doing absolutely nothing with a book and a hot drink.
Rain prep: In monsoon months, pack a light rain jacket and footwear that can handle mud. Misty mornings are beautiful but very damp.

Coorg works best when you’re not trying to “cover” attractions – it’s more about the overall slow-hill-station feeling than ticking off a list.
