Pick a homestay or small resort slightly away from the main town. Look for places on coffee estates or with valley views.
What to do
- Visit one viewpoint at sunrise or sunset.
- Do a short plantation walk or guided tour.
- Spend one afternoon doing absolutely nothing with a book and a hot drink.
Rain prep: In monsoon months, pack a light rain jacket and footwear that can handle mud. Misty mornings are beautiful but very damp.
Coorg works best when you’re not trying to “cover” attractions – it’s more about the overall slow-hill-station feeling than ticking off a list.
