Jaipur is one of those cities where the classic sights are actually worth the hype – Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace. The challenge is fitting them into a short trip without spending the whole time in transit or ticket queues.

Day 1 – Old-city icons

  • Start early at Hawa Mahal for softer light and fewer crowds.
  • Walk or ride over to City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
  • Eat a heavy Rajasthani thali for lunch – plan for a food coma break after.

Day 2 – Amer Fort + viewpoints

Head to Amer Fort in the morning before the heat hits. Take your time exploring courtyards and views, then swing by Nahargarh or Jaigarh if you have the energy.

Shopping sanity: Pick just one or two markets (like Bapu Bazaar) instead of trying to “see them all”. Your bag and budget will thank you.

Jaipur works best when you combine structured fort time with slow street wandering and café breaks. Two days won’t show you everything – but they’re enough to understand why people keep returning.
